The La Plata Tributary Channel Restoration Project is a natural channel  and stream stabilization project is southwest Colorado on the “dry side”. The stream is subject to a modified hydrograph resulting from an upstream impoundment. Our work included natural channel assessment, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, coordination with wetland scientists, and design review. The project is currently functioning as designed  and has resulted in stabilized habitat for native and endangered species within the area.
