Our team completed design and hydraulic/hydrologic analysis for this award winning project. Prior to the project, it was estimated that 40,000 people portaged around the Argo Dam each year. Our team assisted with optimization of the discharge through the channel for a range of flows. A 57% increase in usage was reported in the first year. Work included consulting on feature optimization and drop configuration geometry. The project won the 2012 Michigan Recreation and Park Association’s Park Design Award
